Job description

Cornerstone Building Brands is looking for a Customer Service Representative to support our Fortify Building Solutions store in Piedmont, SC. This position supports the business by providing great customer service and facilitating administrative functions at the store front. The position is customer service focused, handling customer transactions and facilitating the front-end administrative tasks for the company

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet customers when entering or leaving establishment and pleasantly deal with customers to ensure satisfactionHandle customer transactions, issuing receipts, refunds, and pick listsField phone calls and take messages, delivering them to the correct departmentsResolve customer inquiries, guide them, and provide relevant informationMaintain showroom inventory and keep the showroom cleanPrepare nightly deposit and ensure the accurate account of money at the locationClerical and administrative functions as a part of the daily operationAnswering incoming customer phone callsScanning/Uploading daily job folders and daily credit foldersSet up new customers on the computer, verifying tax exemptions and depositsReview invoices for proper pricing, quantities and payment termsCommunicate with customers to collect cash owedRespond to customers regarding payment mattersResearch and respond to internal requests on customer activityApply customer payments to accounts receivableCoordinate with internal teams to resolve invoice issues with customerResponsible for reconciliation of petty cash and cash boxPrepare customer returns and submit to share drivePrepare expense Purchase Orders and submit for approvalPerforms other clerical duties as assigned Qualifications High School Graduate or General Education Degree3 Years’ experience as a retail cashier or with salesBasic computer knowledge and familiarity with POS systemKnowledge of the Microsoft Suite of Software preferredStrong communication and time management skillsAttention to detail and strong mathematical skillsAbility to work with precision in a fast-paced environmentAttention and care required to prevent errorsAbility to work with the public daily Additional information
