Boart Longyear’s Products Division is a leading provider of drilling equipment and performance tooling for mining and drilling companies globally.  Our range of highly productive drill rigs and tooling is suited to a variety of applications including, mining, mineral exploration, energy and environmental sampling.

The primary purpose of the Customer Service Representative is to support the sale of our globally manufactured items to our APAC customer base to ensure their requirements are understood and delivery commitments are met.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:Proactively manage orders including quoting, bookings, back orders, data entry Managing leadsProvide customer service by answering customer queries, processing their sales in a timely fashion, and answering queries promptly and accuratelyExecuting telephone salesManage and process claims assessments and Return of Material Authorization (RMA)Support Managers with sales and administrative activitiesDrive transactional salesImplement direct marketing activities as instructed by Business Development ManagersOversee delivery and troubleshooting of productsBuild ongoing relationships with existing customersUndertaking administrative tasksAssist with inventory functions, stock control and inventory management.
A few other things we’re looking for:Our preferred candidate will have 2 years of experience within a similar roleFocus on customer service excellence with internal and external clients Excellent written & verbal communication skills Excellent Listening and Questioning SkillsAbility to prioritise objectives and responsibilities Strong Microsoft Office skills including ExcelPrevious experience in using Oracle (desirable, not essential)Previous experience working in a customer service or customer facing role in a relevant industry (e.g. drilling, mining, construction, etc.)Sound planning and organisational skills A team-focused attitudeExcellent analytical skills, technically savvy
