Description We are in search of a Customer Service Representative to join our team within the Healthcare/NHS industry, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role provides a unique opportunity to work from home while serving as a vital link between patients and healthcare providers. Your role will entail processing complex and sensitive information, advocating for patients, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately process patient appointments, authorizations, claims, invoices, eligibility benefits, and appeals.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient interactions and transactions, documenting details of inquiries, complaints, and comments.
• Utilize double monitors for efficient data entry and resource usage while adhering to guidelines.
• Support other team members with daily paperwork load to document and resolve patient issues.
• Recognize financial, medical, and legal risks based on data collected during customer interactions and follow appropriate procedures.
• Exhibit superior communication skills that demonstrate commitment to quality care and concern for both internal and external customers.
• Provide services to internal and external customers involving the exchange of complex and sensitive information, acting as a patient advocate.
• Utilize company systems to resolve customer needs and assist in the choice of Primary Care Providers (PCP).
• Assist Telehealth Nurses as necessary and provide general information about the medical group to new or potential members.
• Ensure adherence to company's Telecommuter Policy and meet department standards for attendance and performance metrics. Requirements • Proficient in Customer Service, able to handle and resolve patient queries effectively.
• Skilled in Data Entry, ensuring accurate input of patient details into the system.
• Ability to handle Documentation, maintaining records of patient interactions and transactions.
• Experienced in providing Training to entry level staff members on customer service protocols.
• Knowledge of Healthcare Procedures and Policies, ensuring adherence to NHS guidelines.
• Able to Schedule Appointments, managing patient bookings efficiently.
• Capable of handling Invoice related tasks, ensuring timely billing and payment.
• Committed to Quality, constantly seeking to improve service delivery.
• Familiarity with About Time software for efficient time management.
• Proficient in Internet usage for research and communication purposes.
• Understanding of Medical Coverage policies to guide patients accurately.
• Ability to manage Benefit Functions, including processing claims and patient paperwork.
• Skilled in handling Paperwork, ensuring accurate filing and record keeping.
• Ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks as required.
• Experienced in Claim Administration, processing patient claims efficiently.
• Excellent command of English Language for effective communication.
• Strong Communication Skills, able to interact with patients and team members effectively.
• Proficiency in Spanish Language, catering to a diverse patient base.
• Reliable Attendance, demonstrating commitment to the role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites for administrative tasks.
• Experience in Interviewing, able to screen potential team members effectively.
• Familiarity with HealthCare.gov for patient guidance.
• Capable of processing Authorizations, managing patient approvals accurately.
