Job Description

Scope of Position

Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service.

Customer Service Representatives in distribution are on the front lines of providing exceptional customer service for our customers and ensuring their freight is handled properly. This entails providing effective communication, executing movement of freight, managing inventory, troubleshooting issues, and creating solutions to meet customer expectations.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Provide Exceptional Customer service Communicate with domestic and international customersCommunicate with domestic and international offices Comply with customer requirements and proceduresPrepare and process order documentation for customer shipmentsReview documents for accuracy and compliance Update shipment information in the Expeditors systemsTrack and trace cargo Communicate timely status updates to customers Comply with US. and foreign regulationsInvoice customers accurately and timely, for services providedProvide solutions to customersCommunicate with domestic service providers

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

High School Degree or equivalent requiredSuccessful candidates must pass a background checkGood computer skills (Word, Excel, and familiarity with PowerPoint)Must be legally authorized to work in the United StatesMust not require future sponsorship for employment VisaMust have the ability to work overtime in support of the department needsFluent in English, both written and verbalAbility to multi-task and prioritize throughout the workday while remaining focused and organizedDemonstrated ability to be pro-active in thought and actionStrong organizational skills.Analytical with a strong attention to detailEffective interpersonal skills, including proven ability to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive resultsAbility to work independently and in a collaborative team environmentWilling to pitch in and help on last minute projects or assist team members Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skillsHas a demonstrated strong work ethic, and reliabilityComfortable working in a professional business environment Must be able to commute to the city of Carson, CA
