Job overview and responsibilities:Staffing the ticket counter, boarding gates and baggage service areas of the airport (Duties may include check-in, ticketing, gates, baggage service and operations)Providing assistance and excellent customer service to the traveling public by performing various customer service duties in the airport terminal such as:Receiving and directing incoming calls, greeting and directing customers, tagging and handling baggagePreparing tickets, determining fares and routing to assure passenger's travel needs are metMaintaining a neat and professional appearance by adhering to United's standards for uniform and dressThis position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded.
QualificationsMinimum QualificationsMust be able to work the ticket counter as well as the boarding gates and baggage service areaMust have a professional appearanceMust have excellent communication skillsFluent in English and Japanese (written and spoken)Must be able to work in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to lift and maneuver heavy baggageMust be able to stand and walk throughout the entire work shiftMust possess excellent customer service skillsProven customer service work experienceHigh School Diploma/GED or equivalent school leaving certificateMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be able to travel to US for training if requiredMust be flexible to work ANY shift that is assigned to you within a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation which can include late nights, early hours, weekends and holidayMust be legally authorized to work in Japan for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionPreferred QualificationsPrevious airline, travel, or hospitality work experienceBachelors degreeHold a valid passport and U.S. Visa
