About the Role: Are you passionate about providing outstanding customer service and looking to grow your career in a dynamic and supportive environment? We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to join our team and support the U.S. National and International Rain Bird Distributor and Retailer base. This role offers a unique blend of customer interaction, sales and marketing support, ERP systems administration, international traffic management, and data analysis. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to advance into roles such as Associate Product Manager, IT Specialist, Sales, or similar positions.

Responsibilities Global Shipping Coordination: Manage international shipping requirements, ensuring all country-specific documentation (e.g., commercial invoices, letters of instruction, trade certificates) is accurate and complete.Risk Management: Review letters of credit for international customers to ensure viability and minimize risk.Export Traffic Management: Oversee routing, pickup, and delivery of freight for air and ocean cargo, including freight consolidation and quotations.Systems Administration: Administer the order-to-payment process ensuring smooth operations.Data Analysis: Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to refine data presentations and support strategic business decisions.EDI Support: Provide support for global distributors and retailers related to Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).Financial Tasks: Perform Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable functions and financial reporting using QuickBooks.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, and other departments to enhance customer service.Special Projects: Lead and contribute to projects such as system improvements, complex ordering/billing processes, and business intelligence reporting.Problem Solving: Exhibit excellent judgment in ambiguous situations, using creative problem-solving skills to take action as needed. Qualifications

Qualifications: Minimum:

3-5 years of experience in management information systems, customer service, order processing, sales, supply chain management, bookkeeping/accounting, ERP systems, or marketing.Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Self-starter with excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

Desired:

Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, MIS, or a related field.5-7 years of experience in international logistics.Experience with data warehouse reporting and customization, Business Objects, and basic SQL.Knowledge of irrigation products, systems, and customers.Proven success working in a team environment with demonstrated leadership skills.Bookkeeping experience is highly valued.
