Job Title: Customer Strategy & Planning Executive

Location: Malaysia


The Purpose of Role:

A critical role focused on representing the voice of Customer Business Development (CBD) across the organization, provide key integration touchpoints around commercial planning and governance and driving the category and channel strategy and associated pricing and promo policies and build brands’ equity. You will support the development and deployment of a channel strategy for core and new products to drive profitable growth. By working cross functionally, you will deliver the trade category toolkit, which outlines a 6 P strategy for each brand.

Reporting to: Customer Strategy & Planning Lead

Key Responsibilities: 

Support Channel Strategy and Execution

Plan, execute and evaluate options jointly with Key Accounts for tailor made promotion to enhance retailers' commitment and integrating promotion plans with marketing plans.

Support in costing, pricing, timeline / project managing and premium sourcing with Brand/Key Account Managers.

Follow up with sales team on any marketing/trade marketing initiatives to ensure smooth operation during implementation after the plan is cascaded by CSP manager / assistant manager.

Manage deployment of POSM, GWP arrival, quantity allocation, POSM / GWP storage via communication with internal stakeholder and external supplier / agency to ensure perfect execution and strong visibility of our products in market.

Key Project / Activation Management

Connect and liaise with internal brand / CSP team and external agency to make sure activation plan is being implemented smoothly on regularly basis.

Support CSP activation-lead to monitor major activation planning and execution progress such as annual big bet launch event, key roadshow activation.

Review and assess past activation performance in terms of ROI and KPI achievements.

Stock / PIPO Management

Responsible for new product pipeline PIPO process in execution.

Monitor leftover / slow moving SKU stock level and track the sell in/out rate before delistment, provide information to CSP team members for clearance plan to minimize business waste.

Allocate and communicate listing sample to key accounts for new product listing,

Draft any trade letters on behalf of CSP team to sales team such as delistment, listing period changes, PIPO arrangements and retail price changes announcement.

Trade Spend / Cost Optimization

Track and improve trade spending in POSM and GWP cost with external suppliers.

Improve overall deployment process and shorten timeline to roll-out key activities in the market.

Key Stakeholders:

Internal: Customer Business Development, Customer Service, Brand Marketing, Finance

External: Activation and Trade Material Supply Agencies

Travel:

No travel is required.

Essential Experience/Skill/Knowledge:

Bachelor's Degree. 

2 years relevant working experience in Channel and Category Development, Trade Marketing in the FMCG industry.

Experience in relevant field sales or trade marketing experience.

Proven accountability and able to focus and drive critical topics and empower others

Proven skills in collaboration.

Demonstrated self-starter with the ability to deliver results in a lean, agile organization.

Demonstrated problem-solving ability; excellent oral and written communication skills for project management.

Desirable Experience/Skill/Knowledge:

Demonstrated knowledge of the market brands, products and customers.

Strong influencing skills for both peers and stakeholders to represent Customer Development needs.
