We are seeking a competent and driven Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team within the Customer Service division of our US Medical-Surgical distribution company. In this role, you will design, build, implement, and maintain data processing pipelines for the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of data from various sources. You will develop robust and scalable solutions to transform data into formats suitable for analysis, enhance data flow, and enable end users to consume and analyze data more efficiently. This position requires an understanding of data modeling concepts and hands-on experience with data analysis and query tools including Power BI, SQL, Python and MS Azure (or similar cloud experience) basics.
Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain ETL pipelines to process data from diverse sources.Data Modeling: Apply and incorporate data modeling concepts into ETL pipelines.Data Transformation: Develop scalable solutions to transform data into useful formats for analysis.Complex Queries: Write complex queries to support analytics needs.Tool Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies for data infrastructure and processing.Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and coded data pipelines.Data Tools: Utilize data analysis and query tools (R, Python, SQL), relational and non-relational data stores, ETL tools, machine learning, and cloud data technologies (DataBricks, Snowflake, Azure, GCP).Data Management: Work with structured and unstructured data from data lakes, relational database management systems, and data warehouses.Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent coursework or relevant professional experience will also be considered.
