Customer Support Representative – Decatur, IL

This is a full time, nonexempt position
This successful colleague will be responsible for providing world class customer support for international shipments to customers within ADM Nutrition and ADM Carbohydrate Solutions.
As the Customer Support Team is often the first line of communication with customers, this individual must ensure they represent ADM well by being customer-focused and committed to driving solutions to ensure reliability. It is important that this candidate also maintain positive relationships with various ADM Departments such as the Sales Team, Business Managers, Technical Team, Operations Team, Transportation Team, etc.

Responsibilities Create excellent relationships with customers and be responsive to their needsObtain strong working knowledge of ADM productsObtain strong working knowledge of ADM systemsProcess customer orders, inquiries, and/or complaints within 48 hrs. of receipt.Work closely with internal and external colleagues to confirm on time delivery and accurate documentationMaintain electronic customer files containing customer contact detail, special instructions, pricing information, etc.Log pertinent case detail within ADM systems to provide transparency to items needing further reviewMonitor accounts receivables Review various reports to confirm delivery, proper invoicing, etc.Prepare general business correspondenceCoordinate other functions as needed Skills and QualificationsA service-oriented focus on both internal and external customersStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to collaborate in a team-oriented environmentA positive customer centric dispositionProficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookThe ability to learn web-based and other computer applications as neededExcellent keyboarding skillsBachelor’s degree or previous Customer Support experience is preferredExperience using internal systems (i.e. – contract, order, inventory and accounts receivable computer systems) is preferredDecision-making abilitiesMultitasking and the Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environmentAttention to detailPhysical requirements include: sitting for prolonged periods of time, operating a keyboard, standing, filing, bending, kneeling and effectively working on the telephone.Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
