Customer Validation Engineer

Analyze firmware code and complex firmware and software (Windows & Linux), issues in the systems and tools. Analyze technical problems, diagnose the root cause, and apply corrective actions. Utilize experience and knowledge of Agile product development processes and project management to implement quality and process improvement methodologies and tools. Use knowledge of enterprise SATA & PCIe SSDs, NAND, memory storage hierarchy, and enterprise storage, including knowledge and experience of SATA/SAS and/or NVMe storage protocols to design and implement world-class product test strategies. Utilize technical, project, and delegation experience to actively lead product test cycles. Validate customer test requirements, associated industry certifications, and results. Recommend and instrument new validation approaches that drive better coverage, more accurate testing, and expanded testing services. Define test cases to verify functional and not functional requirements are compliant with system requirements. Collaborate with product design for test cases developing coherently with firmware and software architecture. Define the Test Implementation Strategy and Software Architecture to encompass both development and debugging. Define, plan and execute a test automation strategy, to contribute to the ongoing development of in-house automation frameworks/tools.

Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Customer Validation Engineer-related occupation.

Position requires:

1. HPe Smart Storage Controller with Internal and external Direct Attached Storage (DAS) array;

2. Peripheral Component Interconnect (PCI) and PCIe (Express) protocol;

3. L2A & CIRRUS automation application and framework to deploy OS, upgrade deliverables, perform system test and triage the failure;

4. Performance test tool like FIO, Medusa, IxChariot & HPe Proprietary tool like, Meat Grinder, PLOT, Hazard, PMPCTest, Xorsyst, Cluster Test, Bone Crusher and etc.;

5. Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks (RAID-0,1,5,6) technology is used on NVMe SSD, SSD, SATA, SAS to increase the performance and/or reliability of data storage;

6. Configure network switches like Broadcom Switch, HPe 5900 series 10Gb, 180G wolf2/comwolf, TCP/IP and Ethernet Network;

7. HPe CMU (Cluster management Utility) and WDS (Windows Deployment Service) to deploy OS on HPe ProLiant Server;

8. Databases like Oracle, DB2 9.x, Sybase15.x, Informix 11.x;

9. EATE1.0 (Enhanced Automated Test Environment).
