UnspecifiedJoining Collins Aerospace isn’t just about finding a job; it’s about embarking on a journey to redefine the future of aerospace technology. Our Global Trade team is seeking a highly motivated Customs Analyst to join their team in Kilkeel, Northern Ireland. This is hybrid role.
What you will do:
This role is required to support the Compliance Department and wider business.
Customs Clearance Instructions:
Managing the process of clearance of shipments for imported lines
Checking of imported line values
Maintaining and retaining accurate records
Any other reasonable duties
Customs Clearance Audits:
Managing the process of auditing a samples of weekly customs clearances
Maintaining monthly imports data provided by HMRC
Submitting entry amendments to HMRC
IPR submission:
Managing the process of reducing the duty and VAT exposure to the business
Submitting the quarterly submissions to HMRC Allocation of Import/Export codes
Submitting the monthly scrap submissions to HMRC
Continuous Improvement:
Assuming of responsibility for participating in any lean activities and initiatives that support key business targets
Assuming of responsibility for using Continuous Improvement techniques to remove unnecessary waste from all day-to-day activities
Supporting all CORE initiatives within the workplace
Level of Work:
Supports any on-going projects
Performs routine responsibilities with little supervision, and therefore requiring the use of own judgement and initiative
Follows specific Standard Work Instructions
What you will learn:

Qualifications / Experience you must have:
Computer literate
Strong academic background, and GCSEs at grade C or above
Qualifications / Experience we prefer:
Prior knowledge or experience in Global Trade
An analytical mindset
Educated to degree level
