We’re seeking a **knowledgeable and proactive Customs Compliance & Foreign Trade Analyst** to support Bosch Group’s trade operations across North America. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring seamless and compliant import/export transactions, including those within Foreign Trade Zones (FTZs). You’ll conduct in-depth research, assess the effectiveness of trade compliance programs, and implement key compliance initiatives. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for preparing reports for North American GBs, supporting program implementation, and assisting management with the accurate and timely execution of international trade functions. **Key Responsibilities:** + T **rade Compliance Research & Enforcement:** Conduct research on trade regulations, enforcement actions, and international trade agreements. Provide guidance and support to ensure that the company stays compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. + **Program Evaluation & Effectiveness:** Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of trade compliance programs, policies, and procedures. Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to optimize operations. + **Program Implementation & Coordination:** Oversee and implement various compliance-related programs. Coordinate and manage processes to ensure they are executed efficiently and in line with regulatory standards. + **Document Review & Compliance:** Perform compliance reviews of import, export, and FTZ documentation, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of international shipments. Validate critical information such as Country of Origin, valuation, and OGA filings. + **Complex Transaction Management:** Assist with complex import/export transactions, including valuation, provision schedules, and routing guidance. Help management ensure accurate and timely transactions for compliance with regulations. + **Customs and Regulatory Communication:** Represent the Trade Compliance team by maintaining consultative communication with management and staff across multiple business functions. Address and resolve compliance-related inquiries promptly. + **Freight Forwarder & Customs Broker Support:** Respond to inquiries from freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other vendors, ensuring timely clearance and compliance with documentation requirements for imports and exports. + **Vendor & Stakeholder Relationship Management:** Maintain relationships with key partners, such as freight forwarders, customs brokers, and foreign suppliers, to ensure the efficient flow of tangible items and support compliance across the supply chain. + **Performance Metrics & Reporting:** Generate performance metrics related to import/export processes and ensure the continuous improvement of compliance practices. Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders. + **Process Improvement & Participation:** Actively participate in process improvement initiatives, assisting in the identification and implementation of compliance best practices. + **Regulatory Monitoring & Updates:** Monitor changes in trade regulations and legislative requirements. Communicate relevant updates to internal stakeholders and modify internal processes as needed. + **Customs Recordkeeping & Documentation:** Manage and maintain customs records in compliance with CBP (Customs and Border Protection) regulations and the Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR), ensuring records are accurate and readily available for review. + **Support Compliance Department Activities:** Provide support for other compliance-related activities and special projects as assigned by the Customs Compliance Manager or Director. **Qualifications** **Key Competencies:** + **Consultative Communication:** Effectively communicate with management and staff across various business functions, providing insights and recommendations on trade compliance matters. + **Operational Expertise:** Perform daily operational tasks related to import and export compliance under supervision or in collaboration with senior team members. + **Trade Compliance Knowledge:** Utilize expertise in international trade compliance operations, including the handling of import/export documentation, FTZ operations, and regulatory compliance. + **Regulatory Knowledge:** Strong understanding of U.S. Customs regulations, foreign trade regulations, and international trade compliance, including experience with Country of Origin and valuation assessments. + **Problem Solving:** Ability to respond to compliance inquiries and resolve issues related to import/export operations efficiently. + **Vendor & Relationship Management:** Build and maintain positive working relationships with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other key stakeholders to ensure the smooth movement of goods. + **Attention to Detail:** Ensure the accuracy and completeness of import/export documentation and compliance records in line with regulatory requirements. + **Project & Process Management:** Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives, manage complex projects, and contribute to overall operational efficiency. **Basic Qualifications & Skills** : + Bachelor's degree in international business, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. + Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in trade compliance, customs brokerage, or import/export operations. + Strong working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations, import/export laws, Foreign Trade Zones, and other relevant compliance frameworks. + Proficiency with trade compliance software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). + Experience in customs documentation review, valuation, and Country of Origin determination. + Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. + Familiarity with performance metrics, reporting, and compliance auditing. + Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Customs Brokerage License or a related area (e.g., Certified Customs Specialist). + Experience with compliance systems and tools for trade documentation (e.g., ACE) + Knowledge of international trade agreements and their impact on compliance procedures. **Additional Information** **Indefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.
