Job Description

To prepare customs clearance declarations ready for classification by a broker in compliance with the national regulatory provisions and in adherence to the company's policies and procedures.

To assist with co-ordinate the delivery of Air/LCL/FCL shipments in accordance with customer delivery instructions utilizing Expeditors approved transport providers and avoiding/minimising storage and detention charges at all times.In addition to this, to perform tasks as requested, including, but not exclusive to, assisting in general Brokerage operations.

Qualifications

Skills:

Competent use of Microsoft Excel & Word.

Competent use of the Expedient and the ICS system.

Competent and courteous communication and phone manner

Knowledge:

Government Regulations

Standard Operational Procedures for Customs Import Operations, including Expeditors KPI's

ICS and Expedient systems

Geography

Accounting System

Credit Policy, A/R database, financial expectations of department, branch, company

International freight Shipping terms

General Mathematical knowledge, including but not exclusive to, dealing with Exchange Rates, Foreign Currency and General Ledger

Complete understanding of the movement of Goods
