Customs Control Specialist
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customs Control Specialist to oversee import/export activities within our supply chain operations. In this critical role, you will develop and implement procedures to ensure full compliance with customs and export related laws and regulations, safeguarding the seamless and lawful movement of parts across international borders. Your expertise will drive risk reduction by aligning local execution with global standards. **Your role:** + Classify materials in accordance with the Harmonized Tariff Schedule as well as the Export Administration Regulations and develop supporting documentation to substantiate such classifications. Ability to review federal register and perform antidumping/countervailing duty reviews. + Provide training to internal and external stakeholders regarding standard processes and the latest customs-related developments. + Create electronic shipping requests and reports as well as coordinates dangerous goods shipping requirements and other duties as assigned. + Ensure compliance with customs, export, applicable foreign trade/importation laws, and federal transport regulations. + Manage multiple lines of communication between suppliers, carriers, customers, and internal parties, maintaining accurate details and relaying pertinent information to the appropriate parties. **You're the right fit if:** + You have at least a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field. + You have 3+ years of experience in customs and trade compliance, especially with classifications. + You have 5+ years of experience with MS Office and are familiar with SAP and/or ERP and/or MRP. + You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position. + Certified Customs Specialist certificate (CCS) and/or Licensed Customs Broker license (LCB) is preferred. **How we work together** We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations. The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity. In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
