Description
Due to President Trump recent implementation of 25% additional tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico as well as additional 10% tariff on imports from China, there is an immediate need for additional customs and clearance resources to review US inbound paperwork and review regulatory requirements.
Job Description:
Responsible for coordinating the documentation required by U.S. Customs and other Government Agencies for the entry of goods into the U.S. on behalf of importers.Deliver impeccable customer service.Obtain accurate classification of goods for customs release using databases, SOPs, tariff books, the internet, or customs resources.Perform data entry and process various import-related documentation for submission to U.S. Customs, potentially handling all PGA (Participating Government Agencies) documentation.Maintain and update all shipment documentation to comply with record-keeping requirements.Adhere to all international import and export regulations.Collaborate closely with internal staff, departments, operations, and customers to deliver high-quality service.Process agency brokerage shipments.Handle remote filings as needed.Ensure compliance with all government and organizational policies.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED.No industry experience necessary.Preferred: At least 6 months of work experience.Proficiency in data entry and keyboard use.Required skills: MS Office Suite (including Outlook), handling office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner).Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.Adept at problem solving.Ability to manage a high volume of work and meet time-sensitive deadlines.Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.Competence in using multiple systems and reference materials.Experience Level

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
