Your Role Provide outstanding customer service and complete all tasks and responsibilities related to customs entry transactions. Perform any tasks which are assigned by the Manager or Supervisor that meets and supports the needs of the Customs Brokerage Department, per NBSC guidelines Your Responsibilities Timely arrival and readiness to work at your assigned starting timeProcess shipments within department guidelines according to NBSC Customer list/ Controlling
branch instructionsTimely and accurate input of all data/information necessary to process and facilitate shipments through U.S. Customs and PSG’s Classify goods according to the customers SOP’s and/or instructionsCheck CargoWise “buckets” daily to ensure all steps in entry/brokerage processes are being followedDocument review and assessment for accuracy, verification of critical data elements for entry processing Scanning and archiving of entry document imagesCommunicate documentation discrepancies to supervisor and/or controlling branchRequest or compile any necessary import documentation from client Accurate completion of all PSG data interfaces (i.e. FDA, EPA, DOT, FCC, Fish & Wildlife etc...)Communicate entry # and entry status to carrierHelp answer incoming calls to the officeBe organized and detail oriented in every task that you undertakeAnswer client’s (internal or external) calls or questions within 1 hour. If you are unable to, respond back and explain why and when you will reply with the answer (Manage and assist to resolve all customer queries and ensure resolution of all problems).Interact closely with internal customers/departments to ensure customer service levels are achievedAchieve minimum prescribed hours of training each yearSelf-initiative by taking on increasing responsibilityAlways use common sense and have a purpose for every action that you are involved inImpeccable customer servicePerform audit review on all assigned brokerage files and payments to customsMaintain and keep current all customs compliance documentation Your Skills and Experiences 1+ years brokerage experience1+ years customer service experienceYou have the ability to report to the office 5 days per week Good Reasons to Join At Kuehne+Nagel we strive daily to inspire, empower, and deliver not only to our customers, but also to our colleagues.
