Customs Entry Writer

Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our San Francisco site is looking for a new Customs Entry Writer to join our Customs team. **Your Role** Reporting to the Customs Brokerage Manager, you will be responsible for auditing all Customs entries performed by teammates. You will also process Customs entries by way of pre-keying of entries, learning of filing of customs entries, analyzing documents, accurately processing entries with US Customs and Border Protection and other duties related to customs entries. **Your Responsibilities** + Examines work for accuracy + Process entries as needed (some set accounts but more focused on assisting others when out of office of volume spikes) + Ensure that all entries are filed and processed in a timely manner + Sign documents as attorney in fact. + Ensure accuracy and compliance with U.S. Customs and PGA’s laws and regulations + Responsible for meeting key performance indicators + Perform audits on transactions and ensure compliance to all customs brokerage transactions. + Answer client’s calls or questions within 1 hour. If you are unable to, respond back and explain why and when you will reply with the answer (Manage and assist to resolve all customer queries and ensure resolution of all problems). + Self-initiative by taking on increasing responsibility + Adhere to all US Customs Regulations and other regulatory agencies + Administer all processes and ensure continuous improvement to all to provide optimal level of services to the customer both internal and external **Your Skills and Experiences** + 2+ years' experience in Customs Clearance + 2+ years' experience in Customer service + You have the ability to work a hybrid schedule (2 days in office/3 days remote) + Working knowledge of Cargo Wise + Solid knowledge of domestic and international geography including countries, major cities and ocean ports along with basic knowledge of U.S. Regulatory Laws + Basic knowledge of INCO terms, the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Customs regulations and other government agency requirements **Good Reasons to Join** At Kuehne+Nagel we strive daily to inspire, empower, and deliver not only to our customers, but also to our colleagues. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
