Customs Specialist

What will your responsibilities be?

Daily operational support with import and export customs operations in EMEA countries – it can include also creation of instructions for the import and export customs clearanceApplication of the customs classification, origin determination and customs valuation rules during the customs clearance – basic level of knowledge is requiredCommunication with Adient plants, forwarders and the customs brokers (in English) in order to obtain the data necessary for the customs clearance or verify its correctnessWorking with Adient customs systems – after trainingLooking for the data in SAP and the other internal/external databasesPreparation of various types of the statements based on requests from the customs authorities – under supervisionVerification and correction of the customs declarations

Which qualifications are we looking for in potential employees?

Experience with the customs compliance is mandatory – especially creation of the customs declarations and application of the customs classification, origin determination and customs valuation rulesKnowledge of the basic structure of the customs processes is required (import, export, transit)English: Intermediate level (B2)German language will be the advantageAny other language is more than welcomeExcel skills: Intermediate levelSAP experience is an advantageIT affinity is very welcomedGood communication skillsFlexibility in working hoursTeam player and capable to provide individual support when neededOpen to learn the new things
