What will you do?

A day in the life of a Customs System Analyst at VF looks a little like this.

The Customs Systems Analyst will be exposed to multiple Custom platforms. This includes functional knowledge with FTZ processing, Global Trade Service (SAP GTS) systems, and basic knowledge with SAP S4 Hanna.  They will work with the Customs teams at VF to understand processing issues and develop solutions to handle the ever-changing landscape.  This is a regional function that will primarily influence customs operations in Canada, Mexico, and United States.  Plus it includes backing up the Europe and Asia regions as needed.

Let’s break down that day in the life a bit more: 

Partner with the Customs teams in planning, executing, and testing system changes. Work with multiple systems that interact with the customs systems. Develop an in-depth understanding of the different flows of data to and from the logistic and customs systems. Evaluate the requests for system enhancements from the customs team while minimizing the customization of the different systems. Assist in the development of project plans for the execution of enhancements to ensure that the proper levels of testing and support are accounted for. Aid in testing due to changes in systems upstream and downstream to ensure data flows as expected. Troubleshoot errors and issues to aid in getting to the source of the issue.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3+ years of experience and professional achievements. 

Years of Related Professional Experience: Mid-Level (3-5 years of experience)

Educational/ Position Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree required.  Degree in Computer Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Preferably with exposure to SAPSAP GTS experience a plusMust have strong problem-solving skills accompanied with the learning agility to quickly understand different systems. 

Special Physical and/or Mental Requirements: 

Travel by air and overnight, occasionally. Ability to travel outside the United Stated is a plus

Hiring Range:

$80,000.00 USD - $100,000.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
