Cyber Incident Data Manager

Overview:

Cyber Incident Data team focuses on collecting and verifying data based on established methodologies and sources. The team currently supports the Cyber Risk Score product that is a data-driven rating that provides visibility into the level of cyber readiness and resilience an organization has implemented based on its ongoing actions to identify, manage, and mitigate cyber risk across its external technology networks. 

Responsibilities:

Manage workflow for assigned markets, a segment of a product, and ensure timely delivery of work output in accordance with established and agreed upon turn-around times

Design new workflows/manuals to accommodate new requirements based on market updates or internal workflow upgrades. If needed, incorporate them into current process

Monitor and analyze performance metrics and lead a team of analysts to achieve internal business goals

Strategize, plan and implement effective resource utilization and perform cost/benefit analyses

Identify gaps/opportunities, create solutions, present them as business cases to key stakeholders and execute the solution effectively

Develop and drive new initiatives based on client/business needs, industry trends and best practices

Drive global consistencies in collection of cyber security data methodologies

Research, recommend, and implement technology and content opportunities to improve product quality and operational efficiencies

Effectively manage expectations of both internal and external clients

Collaborate with other teams

Handle recruitment, selection and onboarding of new staff

Perform people management and administrative functions, thereby undertaking performance reviews and regular appraisals to ensure each team member works towards clearly defined and accepted professional and personal goals

Communicate developments and issues across the team

Qualifications:

Degree in Business, Business Technology, Computer Applications, Finance, Economics, or any equivalent/related course

At least 5-8 years of related work experience in a high-quality and hard deadline-driven environment, with at least 3 to 5 years of experience in leading teams and local/global projects

Deep interest in the subject matter re: Cyber security

A rudimentary knowledge of internet registries, internet domains, IP addresses and corporate structures is a plus

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with clear attention to detail

Excellent English communication (both oral and written) and reading comprehension skills;

Ability to prioritize and work under tight deadlines

Good judgment in assessing available information and understanding the downstream effects of operational decisions on final product output

Ability to think strategically, balancing short-term versus long-term goals

Highly motivated, independent, able to adapt and results-driven with a strong sense of ownership

Assertive and highly-engaged, especially during team meetings

Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Proficient with the use of technology and able to learn new applications on their own.  Experience in web-based searching, Excel and common office applications, data management and data mining technologies preferred.

Will manage a team of Analysts, takes pride in developing people

Traditional Shift for the Team; Flexible working hours, willing to work day, mid and night shifts as business requires
