We are now looking for a committed “Cyber Security and Network Engineer (m/f/d)”.
This Position is related to the south region of Germany but will also have work outside this region and in other countries like Austria. 70% - 80% of your work will take place at Honeywell's Frankenthal site, 20% - 30% will be assigned to customers at other locations.
You will take responsibility for the installed security and network infrastructure in terms of maintenance, optimization and operation. In assigned projects you will assume a leadership role, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of our customers. Attending customer meetings in a consultancy roll, delivering Cybersecurity Services such as Assessments, Architectures and Responses as well as maintaining cyber security certifications and knowledge of current industry security standards are essential parts of your role.
Key Responsibilities
Key focal point for maintenance and support for the network and security infrastructure
Ensure that the necessary asset registers containing information on all network components and security applications in the PCS have been produced and maintained, including all required configuration details
Assure that all systems equipment and network components have appropriate backup/restore arrangements and related disaster recovery capabilities
Monitor servers, networks and communication equipment for any security alert using implemented tools, systems and applications
Monitor and execute user access control and user profile management for servers and networks based on documented business approval
Review security logs and provide reports for identifying potential intrusion into systems and networks, and escalate potential incidents as necessary, and to ensure the incident is properly investigate, remediated, reviewed and closed
Manage antivirus solutions to ensure all PCS nodes receive effective and up-to-date endpoint protection
Perform security updates of operating systems based on recommended frequency
Manage passwords for the applications and systems in the PCS regularly verify that only authorized users have access to relevant systems and applications
Participate in the planning of upgrades and installations of new versions of OT security hardware and software
Ensure that the implemented security controls and countermeasures work as intended
Follow up on unsolved problems/error messages with the developer/supplier
Verify that requirements for information security have been met before any new system is put into production
Document deviations from the required information security measures
Report PCS OT Security events and incidents, execute Spots and Projects in a Lead Engineer Roll, perform consultancy activities for Network and Cybersecurity Topics
Execute Assessments, develop Secure Architectures and response to Cybersecurity Events
Key skills and qualifications
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related subject, such as computer science, computer information systems or electronics, alternatively four years of experience in systems engineering of industrial-automation or IT networks
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in industrial automation network systems engineering
2+ years working with IT Security
2+ years Industrial Networking
1+ year experience in Security Projects
Cisco Certified Network Associated (CCNA)
If not existing, we expect to get certified in the first year with Honeywell
Good Experience with most common Security Software Types like Antivirus, Backup and Monitoring Solutions and good Experience with Security Network Components like Firewalls and Switch/Router ACL
Good Experience in running service tasks at customer sites as well as troubleshooting to solve common network and/or application or system integration problems
Good Experience with Microsoft – Active Directory, DNS, WSUS, Terminal Server
Knowledge about ISO 27001 and IEC 62443
Proficient in German and English
