KBR is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA. The MSEIT (MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration and Test) team in support of SSC (Space Systems Command) in El Segundo is seeking an individual to provide Information Assurance (IA) and Cybersecurity support for the MILSATCOM Capability area. The MILSATCOM portfolio of programs has an ongoing need for IA/Cybersecurity support, to meet the needs of our emerging next-generation protected SATCOM.

The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force’s Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Force’s acquisition of state of the art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.

Key Responsibilities:

End Crypto Unit (ECU) development and certification on Protected Tactical programs.Interface with contractors and NSA regarding certification of multiple program ECUs.Oversee cryptography related changes to technical baseline.Manage crypto-related risks.Lead cryptographic requirement tracing to mission threads.

Required Qualifications:

You must be authorized to work in the US and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance for this position6+ years Crypto Systems Engineering experienceExperience with Protected Tactical programsBS Engineering and MS Systems EngineeringOCSMP Level 2 CertificationSystems Engineering, to include cyber security and cryptographyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsUse of JIRA & Confluence

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Basic Compensation: $110,000 to $150,000. This range is for the California area only

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
