Cyber Security Engineer II 

 

Position Highlights:

 

Position requires the ability to plan, design, enforce and audit security policies and procedures which safeguard the confidentiality, integrity and availability of and access to the organization's information system assets. This requires the experience and knowledge to recognize and identify potential areas where existing security policies and procedures need to be corrected or developed. This position provides management with risk assessments and security briefings to advise them of critical issues that may affect users or organizational security objectives. The position also involves evaluating and recommending security products, services and/or procedures to efficiently run security controls and effectiveness. This position will also be committed to continuous development of an environment of heightened security awareness in following IT Security policies and participating in security training. 

 

The Ideal Candidate:

 

The ideal candidate will have experience in a Healthcare environment specifically with HIPAA/HITECH regulations and experience in PCI DSS.  The candidate will have experience with Splunk SIEM, Checkpoint, Juniper, VPNs and other security related tools The ideal candidate will have knowledge of vulnerability and penetration testing, technical writing, firewalls and network operations The candidate will have experience with Network and Security design, implementations, and monitoring and will be knowledgeable of Security Risk Assessments

 

Responsibilities:

 

Evaluate and recommend security products, services and/or procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness. To plan, design, enforce and audit security policies and procedures. Recognize and identify potential areas where existing data security policies and procedures require change, or where ones need to be developed. Provide management with risk assessments and security briefings to advise them of critical issues that may affect customers, or corporate security objectives.
 

Job Specific Duties:

 

Participation in Security reviews and assessments and decision making in the deployment of security controls. Manages, monitors and supports various IT security logging and auditing tools. Responds to and acts on IT security intrusions, threats and attacks. Assists with policy, procedure, and process review, editing and writing  Seeks and provides innovative solutions to improve Information Security Participates and provides Information Security Awareness training on as needed/required basis

 

Credentials and Experience:

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or Information Security Minimum Five (5) years of related information security experience or Associates degree with an additional 2 years of relevant technology experience plus the five (5) years for a total of 7 years may be considered

 

Preferred exp:
