We are looking for a highly capable Cyber Security Engineering Manager, reporting to the Head of Security Architecture and Engineering to join the Security Engineering team. Your role in FNZ will be to lead a team of Cloud Security and Network Security Engineers to manage best in class security tooling and processes in support of a complex, growing global organisation. You will be experienced in engineering at a large/enterprise scale and will be skilled in leading, problem-solving and collaborating across teams and timezones. You will have the opportunity to define and enhance security for over 7000 users and tens of thousands of devices using industry leading solutions.

Specific Role Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of 5-8 Security Engineers, taking full responsibility for line management, career development and workload management

Manage and enhance security tools and processes for the FNZ Group, including:

Network Security (WAF, IDS/IPS)

Cloud Workload Protection

Cloud Security Posture Management

Own and manage work backlogs to deliver high value, scalable solutions

Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and Platform Infrastructure teams to enhance the security of FNZ systems and architecture

Contribute to architectural reviews of new/existing security solutions

Manage vendor partnerships and identification of new capabilities

Keep up to date with evolving attack tactics, techniques and procedures and apply continuous improvement to security tools and processes

Translate regulatory and client requirements into technical security controls

Experience required

Primary requirements

Exceptional leadership and management experience of high performing Cyber Security Engineers

Strong collaboration and relationship building abilities in matrixed organisations

Significant experience of managing and prioritising workload/backlog in support of multiple stakeholders

Strong Experience of engineering in large scale environments, specifically managing multiple stakeholders and change in complex technology stacks.

Experience with the use of automation during deployment and management, this may include Powershell, Python, Terraform, REST APIs.

Proven ability to design and develop secure solutions to complex problems.

Experience of deploying and managing enterprise security tooling such as Network Security (WAF, IDS/IPS), Cloud Workload Protection, Cloud Security Posture Management

Excellent documentation skills and ability to communicate with varied stakeholders.

Ability to support strategy development

Secondary requirements

Experience of security engineering in regulated industries

Experience of mapping security solutions to frameworks (NIST, SCF, ISO)
