Overview ***This position is physically located in the Marshall Islands in support of LOGCAP*** The Cyber Security Officer Sr. will provide subject matter expertise, oversight, guidance, and support to LOGCAP systems and users. The Cyber Security Officer Sr. will also work with the necessary support teams to ensures the appropriate operational security posture is maintained. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Provides guidance for the implementation of administrative, physical, and technical controls necessary to protect the network and the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information residing on the IT systems. Engage in all RMF activities as directed by the customer to include providing the necessary documentation. Conduct security assessments of the network systems. Manage all network systems vulnerability scanning. Monitor all systems patch compliance and overall IAVM activities. Perform activities and prepare documentation supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) and ongoing network accreditation requirements. Develop/recommend necessary information system security policies and procedures on systems use and services. Provide support to ensure that the appropriate response to security events, incidents are enacted. Champion all Cyber Awareness initiatives. Monitor Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS) to ensure all LOGCAP user profiles have the appropriate documentation per their access level, uploaded and maintained. Availability outside of normal working hours may be necessary to assist with resolving emergency issues. Performs other duties and assignments as required. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferably in Computer Science or MIS, IS, Engineering, Business, or related field. IAM Level II/III training and certification A valid driver's license and the ability to obtain an on post drivers license. Experience: Seven (7) years of practical experience working with various data (network and system) technologies, with a minimum of two (2) of those years focused on security, auditing, evaluation assessments and reporting. Knowledge and understanding of network protocols, network devices, multiple operating systems, and secure architectures. Knowledge and understanding of IAVA/ IAVM mitigation measures and techniques. Experience using vulnerability scanning tools. Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) or other automated tool. Experience or training in Incident Response Handling. Certifications: This position requires candidates to adhere to DoD 8140.03/8570.01-M. All candidates are required to maintain at least one (1) baseline certification and one (1) computing environment (CE) certification. The authorized certifications for this job title are listed as follows: IAM Level: IAM II/III Baseline: CISSP, GSLC, CISM, CCISO, CASP+, CAP CE: MCSA, MCSE, Server +, GCIH and other IT certifications may be accepted to satisfy this CE requirement. Clearance: Must have an active Secret Clearance. Supervisory Responsibilities: May be required to supervise a team of employees. Supervisory skills including a professional demeanor Skills: Work effectively with all levels of the workforce. Exercise discretion and good judgment possess high-level organizational, attention to detail and deadlines and planning skills. Ability to communicate clearly, orally and in written English. Must possess an advanced level of computer skills in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook). Ability to communicate with stakeholders at different levels to include Senior Leadership, DoD officials and representatives etc. Understanding of Project Management methodologies. Strong research ability Must be familiar with multiple technologies: Microsoft Windows Operating System Active Directory ITSM (Remedy) Linux Network technologies Network monitoring and vulnerability scanning tools Working Conditions: Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, wet, tropical environment with average temperatures of 130 degrees in the summer months). Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well. The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside. The worker may be required to spend extended time in a computer room environment. Physical Requirements: Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
