About GKN AerospaceThe Cyber Security Specialist plays a critical role in safeguarding an organisation's digital infrastructure. This position is responsible for the technical aspects of cybersecurity, ensuring that the organisation's IT systems, networks, applications, and data remain secure from a wide range of cyber threats, including hacking, data breaches, malware, and phishing attacks. The Cyber Security Specialist is tasked with the implementation, management, and ongoing maintenance of security protocols, tools, and strategies designed to detect, prevent, and mitigate cyber risks.
How You'll Contribute Required to follow all HSE rules and regulations. Must wear appropriate PPE as required. Support in the definition of processes and supporting technology to assist the cyber security and IT/OT teams to actively monitor for threats and vulnerabilities. Supports in maintaining 24/7 cyber controls, operations, services. Promptly support in escalation, response, resolution, and reporting of cyber security incident (service) and corrective actions Support in ensuring high-availability service levels, technical controls, analytics, and operations support objectives on cyber security tools. Working as effective member of multi locational team often requiring demonstration of leadership qualities. Develop and maintain cybersecurity control processes, standards and architectures Assess IT/OT environments including systems, networks, databases and applications. Support in maintenance, support, administration, break/fix remediation (including root cause analysis), availability/capacity reporting, and health/performance monitoring. Change management, operational readiness, lifecycle management and performance delivery for cyber security solutions.What You’ll Bring
Essential:
Relevant Degree or equivalent experience Experience working in a virtual, multicultural, global environment Extensive experience in cyber security and/or IT risk management with a focus on security, performance and reliability Solid understanding of security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorisation and security Knowledgeable in Security Information and Event Management Knowledge of system architectures. Able to understand the risk impact of vulnerabilities on existing and future designs and systems, and identify how easy or difficult it will be to exploit these vulnerabilities.Desirable:
Knowledge of Aerospace regulations and export control requirements Able to work with business and technology stakeholders to understand the security implications of business change.
