As a Cyber Security Technical Director with MTSI you will provide a government senior leader with timely advice and analyses on a wide range of advanced programs of varying size, complexity and technical maturity. The Cyber Security Technical Director is responsible for leading the organization's cyber security strategy, ensuring the protection of information assets, and managing the overall security posture. This role involves overseeing the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and technologies to safeguard against cyber threats. Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:Familiar and experienced at all levels of technical leadership from senior level program definition to day-to-day program execution.Will be involved in setting portfolio strategies as well as helping to ensure individual programs meet technical objectives.Will need to leverage both their own deep individual background as well as extensive contacts within government and industry.Develop and implement comprehensive cyber security strategies and policies.Support and advise leadership to manage the cyber security team, providing guidance and support.Oversee the design and implementation of security architectures and solutions.Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats.Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.Collaborate with other departments to integrate security measures into business processes.Stay current with emerging cyber threats and advancements in security technologies.Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of the organization's cybersecurity strategy posture.
Required skills/experience:15+ years Technical Experience2+ years' experience at an executive level in a technical discipline e.g. Chief Engineer, Technical DirectorExtensive executive level relationships with a wide variety of industry and government partnersMinimum of 10 years of experience in cyber security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (desired).Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA desired.In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption.Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and software development.
Skills and Attributes:Excellent leadership and team management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.High level of integrity and ethical conduct.
Education Requirements: M.S. Degree (required), PhD (desired), is Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related STEM degree
Clearance:Must possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance. SCI and SAP eligibility is HIGHLY desired.U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
Location/Travel Requirements:
Place of work is onsite in Colorado Springs, You may be required to travel periodically, less than 10%.
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $185,000/year to $205,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract rates, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the Colorado Equal Pay Act.
