Our team actively works to develop and support state-of-the-art capabilities in areas including: Formal Methods and Software Assurance Cryptography Cybersecurity Systems Engineering As a member of our team, you will... Collaborate with computer scientists and mathematicians on exciting research projects involving software assurance, formal methods, and quantum computing. Participate in teams working to analyze and assess existing capabilities and identify exposed gaps. Work with staff to devise and develop algorithms, methods, and new solutions for improving defensive capabilities. Actively engage the broader community by publishing papers and presenting research outcomes in community working groups, sponsor meetings, proposal writing, and conferences. Have a Masters in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering or another technical field relevant to the duties as described above. Have a minimum of 20 years of experience relevant to the duties as described above. Have exposure to static analysis, cryptography, formal methods Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and on a team. Hold an active Top Secret clearance, and are ultimately able to obtain a TS/SCI + Poly security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship. You'll go above and beyond if you... Have 20 or more years of work experience in a field related to cryptography, software assurance, or cybersecurity systems engineering. Hold an active DoD or Intelligence Community Clearance at the TS Level with a full scope polygraph. Why work at APL? The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
