Essential Job Functions:

Developing software products and solutions, offering guidance, code reviews, and technical support.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and ensure successful project delivery.Support the professional growth of less experienced team members.Contribute to the execution of software engineering strategies, participating in strategic discussions and technology assessments.Manage project tasks, prioritize work, and plan to meet project goals.Monitor project timelines to ensure efficient execution.Identify and mitigate project risks proactively, resolving issues as they arise.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.

Basic Qualifications:

6+ years of experience with CyberLife or a similar life insurance product.Proficiency in mainframe technologies, including COBOL, VSAM, JCL, REXX, and CICS.Deep understanding of the Life Insurance domain.Experience in both developing new functions and working as an analyst.Proven experience working within Agile teams.Experience with an onshore-offshore development model.Ability to write test scenarios for developed functionality.Strong analytical and coding skills for designing system changes.Preferably knowledgeable in CyberLife online and batch processing architecture.Capable of producing technical documentation, including module-level specifications, work product reviews, process improvements, and unit test scenarios.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Typically 6+ years of relevant industry experience, with a minimum of 2+ years in a similar role.Proficiency in one or more programming languages and development methodologies.Strong programming and debugging skills.Prior experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity.Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices.Strong communication, teamwork, organizational, and time management skills.Willingness to learn and grow in a leadership role.

Other Qualifications:

An advanced degree in a related field is a plus.Relevant certifications or training are a plus.
