Cybersecurity Analyst

Summary/Objective

The Cybersecurity Analyst will be responsible for monitoring and documenting security solutions, intrusion prevention and detection, continuous diagnosis and mitigation (CDM), malware defense, incident communications, and vulnerability remediations. The analyst will work closely with the IT Security Administrator to ensure that systems meet availability and security requirements.

 

Responsibilities

Monitor, respond to, and escalate security tickets as needed.Perform network security analysis and work with the IT team conducting incident response, event analysis and threat intelligence.Provide near real-time auditing, analyzing, investigating, reporting, remediation, coordinating and tracking of security-related activities.Monitor and document known vulnerabilities and the repair or mitigation of these vulnerabilities.Review user account administration (creation, modification, deletion, etc.) and assist in audits to ensure the proper procedures are being followed.Monitor and support security software/systems that will help ensure compliance with regulatory, industry, and corporate policies and procedures.Document the identification, response, investigation, and remediation of potential breaches and issues surrounding data security.Monitor, analyze, and communicate security alerts and information.Assist with routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups.Perform post-resolution follow-up to ensure reported security incidents have been successfully resolved.Independent and structured continuous learning to maintain a level of technical competency and business awareness to provide superior customer support services as new technologies are implemented.Proactively follows up on outstanding issues/tickets.

Preferred Education and Experience

Bachelor's Degree (Cybersecurity, Computer Science or related field) or current enrollment in accredited BS programExposure to Payment Card Industry (PCI), and/or Information Technology General Controls.Ability to read/decipher firewall logs.Prior Experience with retail store operations and technologies preferred.
