**Job Description**
We are looking for a **Cybersecurity Associate** to support the cybersecurity team in monitoring, responding to threats, and assisting with compliance-related activities to maintain the client's security posture. This position will be **full-time contract** and **onsite** .
**What You’ll Do**
+ Monitor and analyze alerts from security tools (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection platforms); investigate suspicious activities and support incident response documentation and escalation processes.
+ Conduct vulnerability scans, document findings, and collaborate with IT teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities
+ Manage user accounts and access permissions, ensuring proper provisioning and compliance with policies
+ Perform regular audits of access controls to detect and mitigate potential compliance issues
+ Contribute to maintaining compliance documentation for frameworks such as HIPAA and PCI DSS and assist with internal and external audit activities
+ Support the development and delivery of cybersecurity awareness training programs, including phishing simulations
+ Document processes, tools, and procedures, and prepare reports on vulnerabilities, incidents, and compliance metrics
+ Participate in cybersecurity projects, tool implementations, and process improvements
+ Work closely with IT teams to align security measures with operational goals
+ Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity trends, tools, and threats, and participate in professional development opportunities
+ Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and support evolving organizational needs as required
+ Participate in the after-hours support coverage
**What You'll Need**
Required:
+ Associate degree in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field
+ Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
+ Experience with vulnerability management tools or compliance tasks
+ Strong analytical skills to assess risks, detect issues, and provide solutions
+ Technical writing skills for documenting procedures and preparing reports
+ Effective communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred:
+ Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field
+ Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, PCI DSS, or NIST
+ Proficiency with security tools (e.g., Qualys, SIEM)
**Physical Demands**
+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
+ Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
