Description We are currently recruiting for the position of Director of Information Security/Cybersecurity. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading security initiatives. The role requires individuals who are willing to serve in a 'player/coach' capacity, demonstrating not only leadership but also firsthand technical abilities. Exceptional communication skills will be essential to effectively liaise across the enterprise during cybersecurity incidents. Requirements Ideal candidates will possess Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) and operational experience. They would also have knowledge and experience in implementing and managing cybersecurity frameworks, such as NIST CSF and CIS Critical Controls. Familiarity with privacy frameworks is preferred. Applicants must have experience in Microsoft Azure, hosted, and on-premises environments, and bring a firsthand infrastructure development experience with PCI DSS compliance. Additional eCommerce business experience would be advantageous, including knowledge of and preferably experience with SOC 2 compliance and SIEM-SOC operations. Geographically, we prefer candidates located in the Chicago area since the position requires on-site work about 3 days a week. Successful candidates will also demonstrate their ability to drive accelerated remediation efforts and prioritize initiatives in line with business goals. Relevant certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, PCI ISA/QSA/PCIP, and PMP or PgMP, would be highly beneficial. The chosen applicant will have experience in deploying and managing vulnerability and patch management programs to ensure optimum system security. Experience managing Integrated Infrastructure Management (IIM) systems and familiarity with CrowdStrike products would be a distinct advantage.
