Cybersecurity Engineer–ZTNA, SASE, CASB (Information Security Advisor)

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and in office 1 - 2 days per week).  Ideal candidates will live or be willing to relocate to within 50 miles of one of our Pulse Point locations in Indianapolis, IN, Atlanta, GA, and Mason, OH.

The Cybersecurity Engineer–ZTNA, SASE, CASB (Information Security Advisor) will support the implementation and management of our Zero-Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Secure Access Service Edge (SASE), and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) initiatives. In this highly technical role, the selected candidate will work closely with vendors, business units, and IT teams to ensure visibility and control over Elevance Health-sanctioned cloud usage. How you will make an impact:

Provides first level engineering design functions and trouble resolution.

Provides trouble resolution and serves as point of technical escalation on complex problems.

Leads or plans implementations for access management and network security technologies.

Develops testing plans to ensure quality of implementation.

Leads the investigation and reporting of data security events and incidents.

Provides system and network architecture support for information and network security technologies.

Provides technical support to business and technology associates with risk-assessments and implementation of appropriate information security procedures, standards, and technologies.

Maintains security incident response plans; represents major upgrades and business system replacements in change control.

Oversees Enterprise mix of vendor services.

Recommends changes and updates to strategy and may act as a key contact for setting vendor strategy.

Designs and engineers repetitive technical solutions based on business requirements and defined technology standards

Develops support procedures and performance metrics reports.

Leads level 1 & 2 incident recoveries; may organize the efforts of other analysts as part of incident recovery; leads root cause analysis efforts. 

Must be capable of providing top-tier support for 4 or more of the information security technology common body of knowledge skill sets: 1) Access Control, 2) Application Security, 3) Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, 4) Cryptography, 5) Information Security and Risk Management 6) Legal, Regulations, 7) Compliance and Investigations, 8) Operations Security, 9) Physical (Environmental) Security, 10) Security Architecture and Design, 11) Telecommunications and Network Security.

Assists in deploying and configuring Netskope SASE components, including CASB, SWG, and ZTNA

Implements and maintains security policies that align with zero-trust principles.

Supports the integration of Netskope with existing security solutions and configures Netskope Client deployments, web security features, and private access publishers under guidance. 

Performs security assessments and contributes to threat modeling processes for cloud and hybrid ecosystems. 

Assists in identifying and remediating security gaps, adhering to best practices and compliance requirements such as PCI-DSS, HIPAA, and NIST. 

Creates and updates documentation, including knowledge bases and runbooks and collaborate on security incident response activities. 

Stays informed about current cybersecurity trends and emerging threats related to ZTNA, SASE, CASB.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires BS/BA degree in Information Technology or related field of study and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in systems support, system administration, system engineering, system security, access management, network security, network communications, computer networking, telecommunications, systems development and management, hardware, software, and/or data; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.  

 Requires experience in planning and designing highly complex systems.  

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

5 years of combined IT experience (security, system automation, AWS, development, etc.) strongly preferred.

Familiarity with multiple technical and business disciplines within large enterprises strongly preferred.

Security certifications such as NCCSA, NCCSI, CISSP, CCSK, AWS, Azure, GCP, or CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent), strongly preferred.

Intermediate understanding of cloud security principles (AWS, Azure, GCP) strongly preferred.

Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation (JSON) strongly preferred.

Netskope solutions experience (CASB, SWG, ZTNA components) strongly preferred.

Working knowledge of DevSecOps and event-driven automation strongly preferred.

Experience with secure web gateways, cloud firewalls, remote browser isolation, and zero-trust network designs strongly preferred.

Knowledge of SD-WAN concepts and firewall configuration/management strongly preferred.

Hands-on skills in Netskope Client deployment, web security feature configuration, and security policy implementation strongly preferred.
