Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

The Cyber Engineer will be responsible for maintaining systems, performing tests, and evaluating configurations. The role includes handling daily requests through the ServiceNow system, with an emphasis on hardening and improving existing systems.
Daily Responsibilities:
•    Maintaining existing systems and ensuring their proper functioning.
•    Performing tests and evaluating system configurations.
•    Handling daily requests through the ServiceNow system.
•    Identifying and fixing system issues.
•    Continuously improving work processes and information security.

Roles and Responsibilities:
•    Conducting vulnerability assessments and security tests of complex systems.
•    Developing and maintaining comprehensive security testing programs.
•    Automating security testing processes for networks, systems, and applications.
•    Developing meaningful metrics to reflect the security status of the environment.
•    Producing threat-based reports on security test results.
•    Consulting with platform managers and system managers on security test results and remediation strategies.
•    Implementing routine security testing processes.
•    Collaborating closely with the organization's architect to implement design recommendations and requirements in the work environment.

A Typical Workday:

The workday will start with checking new requests in the ServiceNow system and assigning tasks accordingly. Then, existing systems will be reviewed to identify potential issues. Throughout the day, the engineer will perform tests and configuration evaluations, handle daily requests, and participate in meetings with various teams to discuss security test results and remediation strategies. The day will end with a review of work processes and information security for continuous improvement.
 

Hybrid Work: The position includes hybrid work, with a requirement to come to the office on specific days determined in advance. Remote work will be performed on the other days, maintaining full availability for the team and systems.


This position does not include penetration testing but rather research, hardening, and configuration testing!

Minimum Qualifications


•    At least 7 years of experience as a Cyber Engineer.
•    Certifications in research, attack, and defense.
•    Knowledge of security testing frameworks such as OWASP.
•    In-depth knowledge of Windows, Unix/Linux, Mac OS, VMware/Citrix environments, and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
•    Excellent organizational and time management skills.
•    Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities.
•    Knowledge of application development processes and proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
•    Full proficiency in writing, reading, and speaking English.

Additional Areas Beneficial for the Role:
•    Knowledge and experience working with SIEM systems.
•    Familiarity with IoT & ICS technologies.
•    Experience working with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems.
•    Knowledge in risk management and threat assessment.
•    Familiarity with information security standards and regulations.
