A week in the life of a Cybersecurity Engineer II:

Participate in software and systems engineering and software systems research to develop new capabilities, ensuring cybersecurity is fully integrated. Conduct comprehensive technology research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities in cyberspace systems.  Design, develop, test, and evaluates information system security throughout the systems development life cycle. Test, implement, deploy, maintain, and administer the infrastructure hardware and software and conduct risk assessment and provide recommendations for application design and accreditation including ATO and eMASS. Be responsible for the full range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access- Uses encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research. Participate in the  design and development of new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.
