The **Cybersecurity Specialist** will provide support services crucial role in maintaining information security across various areas for the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Rome, New York. **Responsibilities** + Support the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process by creating artifacts, documenting controls, and assisting with continuous monitoring. + Assist in conducting scans and reviewing results to ensure STIG compliance. + Administer, configure, optimize, and maintain Elastic to collect and correlate security event data. + Monitor security logs and alerts to identify potential vulnerabilities, anomalies, and incidents. + Conduct weekly scheduled vulnerability scans using Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and assist in resolving identified issues. + Conduct ad hoc vulnerability scans using ACAS as necessary. + Track and resolve malicious logic incidents. + Resolution of classified spillage incidents. A spillage incident could be identified by either Government or Contractor personnel. + Maintain a neat, secure, and orderly facility. + Complete annual company and customer training requirements according to established policies and procedures, as required. + Record labor hours daily in an online corporate system. + Travel up to 10%. + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** + High School Diploma or GED required. + 3+ years of related work experience. + DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II or higher baseline certification required (CompTIA Security+, CISSP, etc). + Must be a U.S. Citizen. + Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required **Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:** + Experience with ACAS administration and scanning of DoD information systems. Completion of ACAS Operator and Supervisor Course preferred. + Experience supporting Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes, creating artifacts, and control implementation details. + Experience with Kibana and understanding of Kibana workflows. + Working knowledge of Linux and Windows environments. + Solid understanding of STIGs and tools to assess compliance such as SCAP and Radix. + Act in a professional manner and have proper telephone and e-mail etiquette, customer service techniques, and organizational skills. + Strong written and oral communication skills in the English language. All contractor personnel must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. + Contractor personnel performing in a leadership capacity shall be capable of directing contractor personnel and interfacing with the Government and customers. + Exceptional customer service skills. + Strong time-management and prioritization skills. + Ability to communicate applicable technical subject matter expertise to management and others. + Possess strong problem-solving skills. + Ability to learn and work in new digital environments as required. + Ability to self-start and work independently or as a team. + Ability to learn new systems and associated software applications for proficient execution of tasks and managing multiple tasks with time-related constraints in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to travel up to 10% as requested. **How you’ll grow** At Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
