Make a Real Difference - Axient is seeking a intermediate level Test Engineer to support Command and Control, Battle Management and Communication engineering and execution for the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Directorate of Test (DT). Your typical day – Our MDA engineers work in modern, well-appointed government facilities at Redstone Arsenal. Redstone is located in Huntsville, Alabama, otherwise known as “Rocket City.” Huntsville is the hub of missile and space research and development. You will collaborate with other missile defense experts – military, government civilians, and contractors from Axient and other companies. Our team of experts helps the Government manage planning, development, analysis and delivery of state-of-the art sensors, weapons, communications, and command/control systems. You will be part of the team that conducts successful intercepts of target missiles by one of our Missile Defense System (MDS) weapon systems.
What you will do... Position Overview/Tasks:This position serves as part of the Command and Control, Battle Management and Communication (C2BMC) Test Directorate (BCT) for cyber test by solving complex problems involving all phases of the cyber test life cycle to include cybersecurity test planning and system level cybersecurity testing. Tasks will include:
Provide expertise and guidance relevant to program analytical principles and practices for developments and operational programProvide initial draft documentation, assist with external stakeholder coordination, and assist with the integration of products and requirements across the cyber test event life cycle in accordance with the BMDS Cybersecurity Test CONOPSParticipate in concept planning; design and development; integration, testing, and verification at the MDS system, element or component levelManages information on share point, document configuration control, document/data archivalSupports test execution in accordance with DoD policiesParticipates in working groups, peer reviews, and other technical meetings Skills you will need... Required Education/Experience:Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field7 years of recent relevant experienceEligibility to obtain at least a Secret security clearanceExperience in development, execution and evaluation of cyber testingExperience working in a fast paced, professional environment with the ability to adjust/react to short notice requirementsProficient with the MS Office suite of toolsCapable of working as a team member to solve engineering problemsWorks as a member of team to solve test planning, integration, execution, and analysis problemsKnowledge of Missile Defense System components and system-level topicsMust be willing to travel up to 25% of the time
