Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Cybersecurity Vulnerability Analyst to join our team! In this role you will get to perform integrated, multidisciplinary assessments that assess survivability of critical U.S. and allied national/theater mission systems, networks, architectures, infrastructures, and assets.
Blue Team assessments teams aim to ensure continuity to DoD missions and critical infrastructure by assessing the vulnerabilities and survivability of these infrastructure against a broad spectrum of threats including accidents, natural disasters, technological failure, information system attacks, terrorists, radio frequency weapons (RFW), sabotage, and weapons of mass destruction (WMD).
This challenging and exciting work will provide you the opportunity to travel CONUS and OCONUS to the most important DoD defense systems and critical infrastructure to ensure the survivability of any threat or attack. This is an exciting opportunity to experience traveling to destinations around the world and protecting mission-critical infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing:
Assess communications infrastructure that support installation voice, data, video, radio, electronic security, and industrial control systems/networksIdentify threats/hazards that could affect the mission's communications architecture and using this data to assess the vulnerability and risk to these assetsPerform single-point critical node analysis of an installation's telecommunications, other communications systems, and computer networks including supporting infrastructure (security, power, heating-ventilation-air conditioning, fuel, fire protection, etc.). Provide recommendations to remediate or mitigate system vulnerabilities due to terrorist, manmade, and natural incidentsEvaluate and make recommendations on secure and/or non-secure high-speed digital data transmission, government satellite services, high-frequency radio, long-haul military and commercial radio, telephone, voice frequency circuitry, wireless, facsimile, video, and computer network inter-switch trunksEvaluate and make recommendations for DoD installations on achievable means of enhancing the communications networks and/or systems to ensure local distribution networks and supporting off-site commercial facilities have the capacity, survivability, reliability, and security to support the missionReview Communication plans, Defense Continuity Plans, and other associated plans and provide feedback to improve the documentsPrepare Assessment Team Reports based upon vulnerabilities observed during the assessmentConduct other assessments defined by the Subject Matter Expert Benchmark matrixReview Communication plans, Defense Continuity Plans, and other associated plans and provide feedback to improve the documentsPrepare Assessment Team Reports based upon vulnerabilities observed during the assessmentConduct other assessment areas defined by the Subject Matter Expert Benchmark matrixWhat Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of operational experience in the military, other Federal Government, or comparable civilian position in Cyberspace operationsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or related technical field, preferred; 4 additional years of operational experience can serve as a substitute for degree requirement.Possess IAT Level II certification as defined in DoDM 8140.03 , or ability to obtain certifications within 180 days of hire.Must be able to travel up to 20%Must have a Valid US PassportMust have an active Top Secret ClearanceWhat Desired Skills You'll Bring:
Previous cyber assessment experience desiredPossess a thorough understanding of the Department of Defense Information Networks (DoDIN)Work experience as a network administrator, IT management/consulting, assessing IT, or installation of IT-related systemsIn-depth knowledge of newest information technology threatsUnderstanding of the methodologies used to conduct vulnerability scansKnowledge of Information Assurance, Mission Assurance levels associated with DoD IT SystemsUnderstanding of the Cyber Protection ConditionsKnowledge of Cybersecurity practices and threatsKnowledge of the DoD Risk Management FrameworkAbility to evaluate communications architecture and identify single points of failureAbility to conduct assessments.Be able to provide specific SME assistance to Technical Support Projects (TSPs)Provide Design Review assistance and provide technical assistance to the Home Team.Minimum Clearance Required to Start:
