Based inMexico, the Mexico Country Lead is responsible for overseeingMexico and operating as part of theglobal/regional team within Cybersecurity to provide strategic direction and tactical assistance to ensure Country Leads can provideindustry-leading Cybersecurity Services that protects the country in scope from theconstantly changing cyber threat landscape, aligning with HSBC Cybersecurity strategy and Regulatory expectations.The role holder is expected tobuild and establish trusted relationshipswith Country/Regional senior stakeholders whilst assistingthe country specific initiatives and Regulatory requirements relate to Cybersecurity.
Main Activities:
Directly oversee Cybersecurity for Mexico, and indirectly oversee – through country-aligned teams – Cybersecurity for Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, and ArgentinaCollaborate with the Global, Regional and Country stakeholders includingTechnology andother functions to implement the team's goals within entity policy, expense and regulatory constraints.Lead and support peers in developing, implementing and monitoring a strategic, comprehensive enterprisecyber security management program.Assist Country with the overall business technology planning, providing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems to have Cyber safe technology environment.Contribute to the Cybersecurity strategy of Group,Region and countries in scopeto secure the bank's technology from the potential threats, whilst maintaining, protecting and enhancing HSBC's values, reputation and stakeholder expectations.Provide/organize Cybersecurity related training sessions to improve awareness level of staff members, setting performance targets of direct reports and contributes to employees' professional development.Assist with business stakeholders and 2LoD across the countries in scope to raise awareness of risk management concerns and educate country management about country cybersecurity risk level and actions required to mitigate/control existing risks.Support business for in-country-specific initiatives and regulatory requirements relate to Cybersecurity via relevant teams such as cybersecurity delivery, consultancy and country augmentation teamswhen required.Carefully evaluatesecurity requirements of country in scope and their business requirements in order to address both Cybersecurity risks and to satisfy the business goals.Keeping abreast of developing Cybersecurity threats, and helping the countrystakeholders including board of directorsunderstand the Bank's Cybersecurity posture and awareness of the threat landscape and events impacting the industry.Brief country management about ongoing Cybersecurity improvement projects benefits, status and challenges which require their attention and/or involvement to make it success.Ensure Mexico has Cybersecurity support by developing a sustainable backup plan for each country to address any need when country CISO/Lead unavailable.Provide guidance and ensure country regulatory requirements related to Cybersecurity are addressed in a timely fashion to implement relevant controls and to develop/amend policies/standards to comply with the requirements.Provide assistance in Governance related matters, ensuring consistency with Global/Regional key messaging and exercising formal governance through appropriate governance forums.
