Summary

Faculty Position:  Cytopathologist

 

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Cytopathologist with a minimum of 3 years of experience in  handling diverse and complex cases to join the Cytopathology service in the Department of Pathology.  

 

Responsibilities:

This position will primarily be in cytopathology with an option to provide support to one of the surgical pathology subspecialties. Candidates must have completed a sub-specialty cytopathology fellowship and have experience in performing fine needle aspirations. Participation in another surgical pathology subspecialty requires fellowship training and/or expertise in the subspecialty. 

 

Qualifications:

Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in Anatomic Pathology and Cytopathology.  Experience in an academic multi-disciplinary university clinical setting is preferred. Active Medical Doctor Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the State of Florida is required. The candidate will have excellent opportunities for clinical and translational research and an established focus is expected.  Opportunities also exist to join established basic research programs. 

 

Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute is a rapidly growing NCI designated comprehensive cancer center affiliated with the University of South Florida School of Medicine. Primary and secondary University appointments are available, as applicable. Academic rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
