Cytopathologist Anatomical and Clinical
Job Summary

Geisinger Laboratory Medicine seeks a board-eligible/board-certified cytopathologist. Additional expertise in head and neck or pulmonary pathology is desirable.

Integrated pathology services within Geisinger practice in a sub-specialty modelGeisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine academic appointment and research opportunities availableExtensive panel of immunohistochemical stains and advanced ancillary testing including organ specific NGS testing performed in houseTeaching responsibilities include medical students, pathology residency and well-established cytopathology fellowship programAnnual volumes: approximately 98,000 surgical pathology cases, 45,000 cytopathology cases including 15,000 NonGYN and 30,000 GYN Pap tests44 pathologists and PhDs on staff, including 9 cytopathologists and 9 cytotechnologistsThree hospital sites have dedicated Fine Needle Aspiration Services for pathologist-performed FNAs. All sites support rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) with use of telecytology.Extensive panel of immunohistochemical stains and advanced ancillary testing including FISH and organ specific NGS testing performed in houseCytology quality management with fully automated real-time dashboards  Position Details
