The Cytotechnologist Responsibilities:

Evaluates and diagnosis Non-GYN cases for Pathologist reviewEvaluates and diagnosis GYN cases.Performs Rapid On-Site Evaluations for FNA procedures including CT-Guided and US-Guided procedures.Knowledge of multiple Cytology Reporting Systems.Excellent inter- and intra-departmental communications skills.Maintains equipment, supplies, and instrumentation.Ability to assist in the Cytopreparatory lab, as needed.Works independently and in a team.Demonstrate organizational, time management, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.Use computer skills appropriate to position.Needs to understand medical terminology.

 

Requirements:

ASCP Certified Technologist in CytologyState of Florida License Clinical Laboratory Personnel - CytotechnologistBachelor's in related fieldBachelor's requirement can be waived if certified prior to 1985Preferred - 2 years Cytology experience.Hospital experience not required, training available
