Cytotechnologist

Performs duties using established and approved protocol that requires a broad use of independent judgement and responsibility with minimal technical supervision. This includes accessioning and preparation of cytology specimens according to standard operating procedure, assisting in the collection of radiologic fine needle aspirations, screening and evaluating all gynecologic and medical cytology preparations for the presence of atypical or malignant cellular changes and providing the pathologist with her/his interpretation of these preparations. Assists in the data management of pathology computer files; participates in an on-going Quality Assurance program. Patients of all ages served.

Schedule:

Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks  Monday-Friday 7am- 4:30pm No nights, weekends, or holidays!

Pay and Benefits:

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree of Science or Arts in Cytotechnologist or a related Bachelor's degree with completion of a 1 yar Cytotechnology program. American Society of Clinical Pathologist-Board (ASCP) of Registry certified within 6 months   With first exam completed within 90 days  Verification within six weeks of exam Recent experience in cytology and histology preferred.

Relocation assistance requirements: Must accept a position that offers benefits and may not have worked for CentraCare in the last 9 months. Must currently reside more than 50 miles away from Waite Park and relocate within 30 miles of Waite Park.
