Cytotechnologist opportunity for a top 10 nationally ranked hospital in in the United States, and the #1 ranked cancer hospital in Florida. The role is located on-site in Tampa , FL and relocation assistance is available! If agree to stay on board for 3 years, there is an additional 5 figure sign-on bonus!
ResponsibilitiesScreen and evaluate gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens for possible malignant or related abnormal conditions.Screen all liquid-based cytology, both manual and imaged, as well as conventional slides.Perform microscopic evaluation of cytological specimens following laboratory procedures and workload policies.Ensure proper documentation of workload recording, including screening and non-screening activities as required by CLIA and laboratory guidelines.Maintain absolute integrity in the accurate performance and reporting of results.Meet slide screening requirements as per standard operating procedure.Finalize testing results into the computer in an accurate and timely manner.Provide backup for cytology processing and other tasks as needed.Comply with all safety, infection control, and HIPAA policies.Essential SkillsBachelor of Science degree in biology, chemistry, medical technology or related life science from an accredited college/university.Successful completion of an accredited Cytology program.ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification.Florida state Cytology licensure - Client will assist with transitionMust pass slide screening requirements and annual CAP proficiency test.Demonstrated understanding of Cyto preparation techniques.Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS).Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience working in Cytology is preferred.ThinPrep certification is a plus.Automated and non-automated testing experience is preferred.Work Environment
100% onsite. 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm with a very flexible schedule. Can start earlier or later as needed.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $87360.00 - $95680.00
