Our Client, a Healthcare company, is looking for a Cytotechnologist for their Zanesville, OH location. Responsibilities: + Cytotech will work with state-of-the-art instrumentation. + Primary duty will be the microscopic evaluation of pap smears. + Additional duties will include processing of Non GYN specimens, assisting on final needle aspirates, microscopic evaluation of Non GYN specimens, pap smear registration and accessioning, pap smear processing, pap smear staining, stainer maintenance. + The processing, registration, and accessioning is typically done by support staff, but the Cytotechs cover for PTO, FMLA, call offs, or when it is needed based on volume. + Equipment used includes Thin Prep processors, Thin Prep imager, Leica stainer, SoftPath. Requirements: + Minimum Years of Experience: 1 + Certifications: ASCP + Experience required with GYN/non-GYN screenings & fine needle procedures. + Experience with Cytology specimen processing a plus. + ASCP required.
