Bring your big ideas knowing you are safe to be who you are and speak up with concerns or questions and put your diverse talents and perspectives to use. **The Opportunity** Black & Veatch (“BV”) is seeking a qualified Sourcing Manager to join our Sourcing and Procurement team, situated in the Digital and Information Technology (“D&IT”) function. The ideal candidate will be experienced in all aspects of D&IT contract reviews and negotiations. Responsibilities include review of new and existing contracts, establishment of standard contract language, supplier negotiations and dispute resolution. This position will work independently and negotiate directly with suppliers. The ability to interpret contractual language, perform risk mitigation and communicate with internal project and operational support teams are key attributes **Key Responsibilities** + Negotiates all contracts, agreements, software/subscription orders and statements of work associated with D&IT operational support, as well as project related activity, to mitigate overall risk and ambiguity. + Reviews contractual obligations with internal (functional, legal, security, insurance, etc.) teams and supplier to ensure responsibilities are known, documented and agreed to by both parties. + Leads the change request process. + Develops standard contractual language required based on contract type and complexity. + Monitors governance efforts that occur in parallel with commercial activities to ensure that both conclude in concert. + Ensures that agreements include appropriate warranty periods and performance guarantees. Ensures that SLAs are well documented and can be accurately tracked. + Lead complex RFX engagements, gather project requirements, evaluate potential bidders, and create the RFX package for submission. + Assists in the RFX process by reviewing supplier submittals and taking proactive steps in the negotiation process to mitigate risk and guarantee performance by the suppliers. + Leverage interpersonal relationship strengths to manage disputes and drive change in supplier behaviors, and create a working environment where suppliers receive incentives to change behaviors and meet performance goals. + Strong ability to communicate with D&IT users, legal and procurement staff, and business leaders to craft contracts that align complex needs with contractual requirements. + Create a customer-focused, service-based approach to working with stakeholders and suppliers that emphasizes the creation and cultivation of cross-organizational relationships. + Develop timelines for contractual reviews based on complexity and provide overall status of contract reviews and escalations on a bi-weekly basis. + Maintains database of issues and escalations, open / close dates, status and resolution details. + Documents and files agreements, capturing key dates, conditions and context.May provide contract term summaries to the parties involved to ensure a general understanding of scope, risks, termination clauses and performance guarantees. **Minimum Qualifications** + 8+ years' experience in IT Procurement or related field. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations. **Preferred Qualifications** + Demonstrated experience in negotiating global contracts for managed services and goods, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations, and achieving favorable terms and conditions for the organization. + 5+ years’ experience in Contract Administration / Supplier Management or related field + Higher education preferred (university/college degree) + Contract Management Training and Certification (CMBOK) a plus **Certifications** **Work Environment/Physical Demands** Work involves sitting most of the time, working with computer, keyboard, mouse and headset.
