Job Summary:  
I am working on behalf of a family of 3 based in Brockley who’re looking for a reliable, flexible, warm and meticulous Nanny to come and care for their 8-month-old baby daily.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about child-care, child-development and be knowledgeable of all milestones. They will also be professional, proactive and honest. They will be expected to teach the baby independence, politeness and friendly communication, and encourage the baby’s creativity and development through daily activities.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering international travel and the opportunity to join a loving family on a long-term basis. The role will be predominantly located at the family’s beautiful home with garden near Brockley station.

During down time, light housekeeping duties will be expected to support the household.

Job specification:

Take care of (dress, change nappies) getting baby ready for the day and evening Create a loving and nurturing atmosphere at home Educate and play (age-appropriate reading, arts, crafts) with baby & track developments/milestones Prepare food for and feed the baby throughout day per agreed schedule Clean and decalcify formula maker monthly per instructions Replace water formula maker and coffee machine with fresh bottled water daily Wash and sterilize baby bottles Wash & sterilize pacifiers. Keep baby’s playpen, playmats and cots in order – wash and replace linen & sleeping bags if stained/dirty or otherwise twice weekly Keep baby’s playpen, playmats and cots in order – wash and replace linen & sleeping bags if stained/dirty or otherwise twice weekly Keep the baby’s stroller in order – wipe down and wash mattress cover as needed, wipe down pacifier sterilizer, keep stroller bag in order with supplies Keep kitchen clean and empty dishwasher Answer door and accept any mail/ parcels, let in housekeeper & gardeners Keep family living room tidy including watering flowers and keeping vases clean, replace candles Prepare fresh and healthy dinners for the family dinner when possible – fish/veggie Mediterranean diet Keep running grocery list up to date Keep baby’s room tidy Keep on top of baby’s laundry and ironing, keep baby wardrobe organized Communicate with parents daily about activities, milestones and baby’s heath Help pack bags for travel

Candidate specification:

Experience in a similar role with similar ages Knowledgeable of baby milestones Child-care related qualification / degree with excellent results (Norland Bonus) Loving and nurturing personality Professional, honest, discrete with a proactive approach Italian or Dutch speaker (BONUS) Mediterranean cooking skills (Bonus) DBS issued with the last year OR on the update service Valid paediatric first aid certificate

DBS check required at offer stage, a current first aid certificate, copy of degree and a minimum of 2 directly contactable references
