A lovely position has just come up in the Islington area with a family who is looking for someone to join them in March. The family is looking for a successful candidate to work 36 hours a week. This will include three afternoons and two full days during term time and then three full days during the school holidays.
The parents are busy working and are looking for someone who can take on all the sole charge responsibilities of the children. The children are at the same school, where they have different after-school activities, as well as swimming lessons located close by.
Job specification:
• All daily sole charge duties of the children
• School pick-ups and drop-offs if required on longer working days
• Taking the children to activities, playdates etc.
• Supporting with homework and reading with the children
• Going to the park and playing at home
• Attending different activities and planning things for the children to do during school holidays
• Preparing school bags and kits for the next day
• All nursery duties for the children – laundry, bedding, organising rooms etc.
• Meal planning for the children and adding items to the weekly food shop
• Preparing healthy and fresh meals for the children
• Cleaning the kitchen after use and emptying the dishwasher
• Running errands if required – Post office or topping up on anything needed
• Open to discussing travelling with the family – both UK and overseas
Days and hour:
Term time (Monday to Friday) 36 hours a week
Afternoons Monday, Wednesday and Friday –
• Two days – 3pm to 7pm
• One day – 3pm to 8pm
Full days (open to agreeing different days, but preferred not Monday) –
• Tuesday – 8am to 7pm
• Thursday – 8am to 8pm
School holidays 36 hours a week
• Three days a week to be agreed – 8am to 8pm
Candidate specification:
• A fluent English speaker is required and someone who is confident supporting the children with their homework
• The family are looking for someone who is bubbly, positive and engaging with the children
• Someone who is a self-starter and proactive in thinking of fun things to do with the children
• Experience working with similar ages
Enhanced DBS check required at offer stage & and a current First Aid Certificate
