The Danaher Business Systems Leader, Global Lean is responsible for driving the culture and capabilities development of DBS across the Global Operations team
This position reports to the Vice President, Global DBS and is part of the Leica’s DBS Organization leadership located in Wetzlar Germany, and will be an on-site role with direct reports.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Drive the development and advancement of a continuous improvement culture in global operations in collaborations with the operations leadership team
+ In collaboration with the Vice President of Operations, deploy the Danaher Operations and Supply Chain playbook, and facilitate quarterly reviews of progress and priorities
+ Leverage the Danaher Business Systems tool kit to assess current capabilities across all plants and develop action plans to close gaps
+ In collaboration with the operations team, create a Kaizen funnel to drive improvement key operations metrics such as inventory turns on time delivery and drive >90% sustainment
+ Identify operations DBS tool kit knowledge gaps, create a certified practitioner funnel develop capabilities, coach and support associate on their CP journey to achieve >90% coverage
+ Facilitate key operations projects such as strategy execution, supplier management improvements, new IT systems and tools implementation
The essential requirements of the job include
+ Degree in engineering. Project Management certification is a plus
+ strong experiences in leading a manufacturing site or supply chain organisation
+ Experience in leading small to mid-size teams and ability to drive followership through indirect influence
+ Good understanding of lean concepts (DBS, Lean six sigma or equivalent experience)
+ Strong communication skills and ability to articulate complex concepts
+ Experience in driving change management
+ Fluent in German and English
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
+ This role will require travel between Manheim and Wetzlar monthly
+ This role will require travel to Singapore quarterly
+ Expect up to 50% travel
