Dangerous Goods Logistic Manager (all genders) 
 

 

As a Dangerous Goods Logistic Manager (all genders), you are responsible for ensuring that products, intermediates, and raw materials are transported according to regulatory requirements across all divisions and regions. Acting as the primary contact for transportation classification issues, you will assign dangerous goods classifications within the SAP/EH&S systems. You will provide expertise to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, Bayer standards, and industry best practices.

 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Integrate national and international transportation safety legislations (IATA, IMDG, ADR, CFR, etc.) and internal Responsible Care regulations into SAP logistics processes

Manage dangerous goods-relevant data globally within SAP

Roll-out global dangerous goods processes for acquisitions and integrate new countries or regions into SAP systems

Monitor global regulatory changes and communicate their impact to the Bayer transportation community

Develop automated processes to ensure compliance with transport regulations, including dangerous goods checks and providing data in transport documents

Assess and implement regulation changes related to dangerous goods in SAP processes

Provide expert support on logistical handling of dangerous goods, including applying exceptions or implementing process changes

Participate in external expert groups to exchange best practices for implementing dangerous goods regulations (e.g. industry associations)

University degree in natural sciences, engineering, or a comparable field, with regular training and certification under § 6 GbV (Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor Regulation)Proficiency in SAP O2C, Transport Management, and Product Compliance, with project management experienceIn-depth knowledge of national, European, and international dangerous goods regulations, with SAP expertise in dangerous goods management and logisticsAbility to travel domestically (5-25%) and internationally as neededIntercultural experience and a self-directed, innovative work style with minimal supervisionStrong teamwork and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional and international teamsExcellent analytical skills, high degree of proactivity, and strong communication abilitiesFluent in German and English (written and spoken); Spanish preferred
